Disc brake conversion kit for 1964-73
Mustangs with 8", 8.8" & 9" rear ends.

Kits available for 8",
8.8" or 9" small, big or late (Torino) bearing - select below under
options. Requires no modifications! Retains OE track width and enables
use of 16 & 17" (or larger) vintage style & backspace wheels without spacers or modifications.

Kit includes:
2 x Single piston calipers & metallic pads with integral parking brake -
powder coated gloss red or gloss black
2 x Caliper mounting brackets. CNC machined from billet aluminum, hard
anodized black. The design of these is such that installation does not
require the axle bearing to be removed.
2 x 11.65" diameter cross-drilled\slotted\zinc-washed rotors
2 x DOT legal braided steel flex hoses with adapters to connect to the OE hard
line and mounting hardware to connect hose to axle tube
2 x Banjo bolts
4 x Crush washers
Parking brake cables
Selection of quality fasteners to install the kit

Test vehicle specs:
1966 Mustang, 289ci, approx. 300Hp. Street or Track 13" front
& 11.65" rear disc brake kit with plain rotors. Manual brakes using the aluminum master cylinder upgrade
available with this kit and Wilwood 570 brake fluid shown below.
No fade experienced even after 4, 13 lap
sessions each with 9 braking zones per lap! Weather was high 70's,
low 80's all day. No brake cooling ducts were run during this test.

This caliper is perfect for hard
cornering cars with stock type semi-floating rear ends. The
internal screw piston parking brake mechanism resists rotor
deflection and pad knock back due to axle end play in the stock 8" &
9" rear ends. |

Our 2pc rotor upgrade
is an excellent option to lower unsprung & rotational weight.
Our 1pc plain rotor weighs 11.12lbs while our 2pc plain rotor weighs
only 9.10lbs.
