Street or Track 13"
Front Disk Brake Kit for DRUM spindles
Disc brake conversion kit for 1964-73
Mustangs.

Fits 65-73
Mustangs, Falcons and other Fords that used the same spindles. Direct bolt on to 65-73 Mustang V8 OE
drum spindles (65-67 any spindle, 68-73 drum
version only). Retains OE track width and enables
use of 17" (or larger) vintage style & backspace wheels without spacers or modifications.
This specially selected rotor has a larger hat offset than the Cobra rotor used in
other conversion kits. The rotor in this kit allows use of vintage
style & backspace (17x8, 4.75" backspacing Torq Thrust II etc.) wheels without use of spacers!
Late model Mustang wheels with larger backspacing will also work so long as you
use the correct size spacer.

Test vehicle specs:
1966 Mustang, 289ci, approx. 300Hp. Street or Track 13" front
disc brake kit with plain rotors, stock rear drums. Manual brakes
using the aluminum master cylinder upgrade available with this kit and
Wilwood 570 brake fluid shown below. No cooling ducts were run during
this test.
Pulled 0.7557g's maximum under
braking using this kit with supplied pads and street tires!
Deceleration g-force went up to 0.8357 using track only Hawk Black
pads.
Both sets of pads showed consistent G
numbers under braking and the kit exhibited no fade even after 4, 13 lap
sessions each with 9 braking zones per lap! |

Take your pick!
Choose either plain non-directional rotors, slotted or
slotted/cross-drilled directional
rotors or cryogenically treated slotted
directional rotors and experience up to 150% better rotor wear!
Deep cryogenic treatment is a
one-time process that permanently improves the performance and
service life of metals from brake rotors and engine parts, to
machine tools and gear sets. Using a proprietary computer-controlled
process, the metal is cooled gradually to -300°F and then slowly
returned to room temperature and heat-cycled as the final step.
Although not apparent to the naked eye, the improvements to the
rotor are significant. The cryogenic treatment process redistributes
residual stress in the rotor giving it an extra level of protection
against warping.
